Steven S. Bae, O.D.
Dr. Bae is a graduate of The Southern California College of Optometry. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Biological Sciences.
He is an active member of the Los Angeles County Optometric Association having served as President, Continuing Education Chair and Membership Chair. He is also an active member in the Asian American Optometric Society also having served as President and Events Chair.. Dr. Bae is a long standing member of the California Optometric Association (COA) and American Optometric Associations (AOA). He received the honor of Young Optometrist of the Year from the COA in 2008.
Dr. Bae has also served as an instructor at the Southern California College of Optometry and as a clinical staff member for the Optometric Center of Los Angeles. He is active in giving back to his community by volunteering annually for the Lion's Club/Special Olympics Opening Eyes Vision Program and the Olvera Street American Diabetes Association Vision Screening. He has volunteered with the Health Professions Ministry of Young Nak Presbyterian Church serving patient needs in Tijuana, Mexico, traveled overseas on short term medical missions to Uzbekistan in Central Asia and El Salvador in Central America.
Some activities he enjoys are fishing and cooking up many meals for his friends. Feel free to share recipes.
